Well I finally got around to doing this I guess better late than never. I only managed to get the exhaust side done, when I took it for a spin the car sounded and felt quite a bit better.
I think the jam nut tool is a must since at times I had multiple things in my hands and it was driving me nuts. I did buy a new angled feeler gauge but it was missing the right specs so I had to use the straight one and my massive hands just coudn't get it right so next weekend I will buy the jam nut and a proper feeler gauge and try the intake side.
Thanks goes out to Otter and Myszkewicz........

ok so i am about to attempt this feat over the weekend...
all i have done mechanically on my car so far is oil for tranny and
a normal oil change, as well as disassembling and re assembling my CAI.
on a scale of 1-10, how tough is this maitinance?

With the right tools it really isn't that hard. Make sure you take the car for a long drive it must be hot when you adjust the lash. The intake side is a real pain in the *** I have big hands so every position I tried to get the feeler gauge in there felt ackward. I wouldn't say the job is tough it's more of a PITA than anything.

I bent both, just be sure not to drop them anywhere you can't get them. I had to use my magnet a couple of times. ease of adjustment definitely wasn't a design requirement here

I tried this...and failed : Much louder when I was done. So I brought it to my dealer to address and it's been there two days, as the mechanic can't get ti right either. Could I have messed something up, like bending a valve or something?
