how to install e-brake bypass for alpine

i have a alpine cva-1005 and im just wondering how to install a ebrake bypass to make my screen work while driving?

i think u need the buy the litle box that fools it. If i remember correctly the alpines want to see 12 volts from the brake switch then grd from the ebrake. After that 12v needs to be taken away and a grd signal still applied. Look on ebay for one

im petty sue it only needs to see gound...since you shouldnt haveto pess the bake just to watch TV

did you try unplugging the electrical e-brake wire that sences if its pulled or not?

All I've ever had to do for those is ground the wire from the radio that is supposed to be connected to the e-brake switch.

With Alpine this is what you do...

You have to press the foot brake, then engage the emergency brake, then let go of the foot brake...if you know what you are doing you will know how to bypass this using switches

all you do is just ground the green wire, that's what i did.

Well, that's almost as easy. Connect the wire that's supposed to go from the radio to the brake switch to a toggle switch instead. Connect the other lead from that switch to +12v. Connect the wire from the radio that should go to the ebrake switch to another toggle, and ground the other lead from the 2nd toggle.

To watch TV, switch on toggle 1, then toggle 2, then turn off toggle 1 again. Done.
