Yeah, that is what I was considering doing. But as it is my daily I don't have the time to keep the car out of commission for long. Unless somebody has a spare set they would trade me.

you need to take the calipers off and apart to paint them..if downtime is a concern, you can buy new calipers that come powder coated, or buy new replacement or remanufactured calipers and get them coated locally...

That's always an option too. I might give that a shot.

That's a cool retrofit you did!! Can you share your experience and/or pictures in retrofitting projectors to our headlights? What would you do differently if you had to do it again?

Thanks. It was super easy and I got lucky that the shrouds fit considering how big they are and I didn't measure anything before I bought them. I got the retro fit stuff from The Retrofit Source. The parts list:
Bi-xenon Morimoto Mini Stage III (H1)
2 H1 7.0 version projectors
2 HID's 5500k
2 LED Panamera shrouds (daytime running lights)
1 bi xenon motocontrol wire harness

I bought new headlights off Amazon or EBay, can't remember, so I could build them and still drive my car. I had to trim a small section of the shroud (between the X) at the bottom to get them in. Can't tell once installed. I blacked out the stock housing so you can't see the reflection behind the shroud, and black just looks better IMHO. I cut the wires to the parking light in the housing and hooked them up to the shrouds instead. I also painted the old parking light bulbs black so they blend in better. Everything fits like a glove and it is literally night and day with them in. I can get some pick with them on if you want. I am so glad I did the swap. I did them on my Explorer a few years ago and was missing the better headlights on the Ralliart. Here is a mid-retro fit photo I took.

Dude that's really sweet job you did there!! Thank you for sharing your retrofit photo. I'm also looking for a set of headlights locally, but not many pairs are out there. It would be great to see pictures of how much better your retrofit is! I'm thinking on doing a retrofit too since my night vision is pretty bad. It's a shame that the exchange rate from CAD to USD is so bad right now.

Did you have to remove a lot plastic from the main 9007 socket?

No you don't have to remove much to get the projectors to fit. There is a bulb shield on the inside that I just wiggled back and forth until it snapped off. I had to shave down the collar at the back of the headlight bulb socket (on the outside) to get the new bulb clamp to fit all the way on. Other than removing a little piece from the bottom of the shroud, that was it for trimming and they went together very easily. I think I can get some night shots tomorrow night as it is supposed to dry up for a day or two. Been kind of wet here lately and it won't do them much justice for photos.

Just the shrouds on. Couldn't get a good shot without it glaring. They are almost as bright as the stock headlights.

Wow, that's fantastic light output compared to stock! It's no wonder you are happy with this modification.
