I've got the projectors in your second choice there, I was able to find them on ebay for pretty cheap (around $200 CDN...but before the dollar tanked so it might be different now). They came with bulbs and everything, just make sure you adjust the alignment of the projector (bolt behind the projector). As far as I know, most headlights are manufactured in the same place then sold under different brands...so you might as well ebay the cheapest possible.

Edit: Checked the price, came to around $300 shipped in today's Cdn dollar.

Yeah I'd recommend it if you're thinking of replacing or upgrading your headlights. I haven't had any issues with fog or anything. Just be aware that you have to take off the front bumper in order to replace the headlights, there's a guide in the how to section.

The bulbs that came with it are okay, I might replace them in the near future but they're fine for now.

Second one. Had it on my last RA. I ended up frying the halo boxes though during a super hard rainstorm so just be careful. If you have any experience with baking headlights I'd recommended baking and resealing as well.

Would anyone happen to have a picture of what the light output looks like for these?

So how does the halo lights fry up during a hard rainstorm. Like did they overheat or something. I am very confused.

You get a much higher quality projector if you make your own. Better light distribution on the road and clean cut-offs so your not blinding on coming traffic.

Look up The Retrofit Source for projectors and parts. They are easy to put in. The hardest (most intimidating part) is baking and opening the headlights.

These are the exact style of projectors I am looking for, but it is so hard to find a set of headlights in RHD format for the Lancer. Makes me think these are LHD exclusive

The DIY projectors do have the option of RHD.

The boxes that power the halos are outside the headlight and idk if the sealant wasn't good or the wires that connect to the halos were exposed to water (most likely case) since they were on quick disconnects but after a hard rain they stopped working completely so I disconnected them permanently

Just saw this eBay projector vs real projectors on Facebook this morning.

I ended up with pretty much the same experience when I bought the eBay headlights for my explorer and then ended up making my own because of the crappy output. Still want the eBay headlights?
