Here's a view from underneath the rear motor mount...FYI: the disc marked in red is one of four that RRM included with the two motor mounts, two for each mount. I forgot to install two for the front, hence the new previous pictures. When I did that though, it didn't allow any room to reinstall the "dust cover"...c'est la vie!

Dang Truth... Your on the verge of spending enough now that you could have just bought the RRM kit and been done with it... But you wouldn't have had the awesome reflash...

I'll get around to starting a turbo build one day. But Im still having fun with it NA for now. I'd like to have a second car before I start a turbo build just in case ya know? But reading yours and crans build threads along with a few others I have a pretty good idea of what all I'll need now.. haha

Now that I think about it, I've been factoring in some of the peripheral parts as well, ie; exhaust, motor mounts, trans cooler, etc. Let's see if I can break this down more accurately:

Turbo: $400
Manifold/Piping: $1000
FMIC: $50
Turbo Reflash: $500/$650 (I don't remember)?
MAP: $120
Injectors: $430
Oil Kit: $40
V-Band Kit: $45
Recirc Valve: $75
Tactrix Cable/Connector: $180
2 X 45° Vibrant Couplers: $80
2 X T- Bolt Clamps: $15
___________________
$2935-$3085

Okay, that's more like it... did I forget anything?

Thumbs down

Over a year ago I arrived here in New Jersey from San Diego California. Shortly thereafter, through the prompting of my brother in law, I started to modify my vehicle. This took me online and discovering Canadiancanucks write up and photos of his vehicle being the first 2004 Lancer Sportback Ralliart turboed with RRM's kit. When I saw this, I felt like a kid again with the excitement of, "I could do that to my car too!" This began my quest to accomplish what I am doing now. But in my ignorance, I was determined to use RRM's kit for they seemed to be the only manufacturer of a turbo kit specifically for my car. I then discovered evolutionm.net, and ran into Ottralliart05. Cranswick, and the infamous "hackish" who began to POLITELY educate me on the nuances of forced induction, the limitations and dangers of piggy-backed fuel management systems, and a better designed/manufactured turbo manifold. They also didn't take long to convince me to wait for the release of their kit through turbokits.com. Most of you know the rest of the story.

So, yes, I could have been turboed and up and running for a while now had I taken RRM's bait back then, but I'm glad I ran into these guys, for if I hadn't I would be just another 2004 Mitsubishi Lancer Sportback Ralliart, with another RRM piggy-backed turbo kit, and not knowing any more than just that. Instead, I've had an incredible opportunity to learn a lot more about my car, a lot about forced induction (for I knew nothing before), and possibly the first turboed 2004 Mitsubishi Lancer Sportback Ralliart with hackish's kit design and reflash?

lol, i love v-bands...v-bands, gears, machine marks, and anodized aluminum..

keep it up man...

oh and those injectors! i didn't have the money nor did i want to spend it at the time...i think your kit is going to be very nice...mine's pretty ghetto, but i made that **** so i'm super happy about it. I was so tempted to buy hackish's manifold when i visited the shop, but i'm cheap...$300 and i would have caved, but it's a fine chunk of steel, and $300 would almost be theft.
