Remembered this while I was in the garage this weekend. So I decided to take a look at the turbo. here's what I saw.



So each side remains totally seperate until the wastegate opens. Thought this was pretty interesting and wanted to share.

yes exactly, so if you went external, as long as you could get exhaust gas from each pair, you could simply run a single wastegate...
