A few pics of RRM piggyback install (NOT A HOW TO)
just thought I would post a cpl pictures of the install to give everyone an idea of what's required.
As far as performance, I havent given it a real good test yet, but I have noticed more power in the higher RPM"S in the lower gears and more punch when it changes to mivec. I will give a better review once I get it on the freeway.
Pic #1 is just the ecu after I lowered it down from behind the glove box.
Pic #2 is a close up of all the wires going into the ECU, like 50 of em!
Pic #3 is after I the Piggyback is fully wired, i used a gel filled connecter for the wires that arent cut but are spliced into, and I soldered and used a clear heat shrink on the one that was cut.
Pic #4 is just a far away view after it was connected.
Pic #5 is the finished look, I velcro'd the piggyback to the kick panel there, hopefull far enough away it wont get booted, I may end up moving it later on down the road, but It was getting dark and that's the first place I could find, wasnt much room behind the glovebox.

Thanks for the post, I should be getting my Piggy in just a couple more days. Nice to know what i'm getting into. I kinda like the look of it being tucked away down there in the corner. So people will see it and ask what it is.

I just zippie tied mine behind the golvebox on that crossbar. Fits perfect AND you can't even see it when you remove the golvebox.

There are other spots I just was running out of time so stuck it there, so far no one has kicked it, and I'm not really showing it off cause no one sees it either. I'll move it if it becomes a problem though.
