If it was the crank position sensor that was keeping it from starting, then you didn't suck any water up with your CAI, You just splashed enough on the crank sensor to make it temporarily not work.
You should be more careful about driving through water with a CAI. If you *do* suck up water, you will severely damage your engine.

so it starts now, and i converted the cai to a short ram, to be on the safe side,
but the car still does not idel, it kind of sputters, but very litley,
it seems, like i lost alot of power, when i took out the spark plugs, for 35k miles, they were black as no other, i will take pics and post them, i replced them with pltnium 4 spark plugs,
but still nothing tooo exciting,

it idles low then high, on a cold start, i actually never idled it after running it for a few hours, i will try that, but mitsu siad they "THINK" it is the crank shaft sensor.
I dont have a next step, got any ideas?
is it something i can replce myself, i might as well replace my timing belt while i'm at it..
help me..................

the only I've heard of the crankshaft sensor going bad is on an RA in the canadian Rally series. It was in their first few events and the pounding of the rally killed the sensor. Its a quick fix from what I remember, cause the sensor is easily accesible on the side of the heads.
