Exclamation Shifter will "pop" out of 1st gear HELP!

When i accel. from a full stop not even WOT and go to shift into 2nd it sometimes feels like 1st gear is "spring loaded". The shifter almost pops out of first when I pull back into second. My 05` has 15,500 miles on it so it's like brand new. This has even happened at only 3k on the tach. Not quite sure if I should take it to the dealer or not. Can I get some advise, or anyone else run into this problem?

Most of that is caused by engine movement moving the shift cables. Filled motormounts or a damper will fix that.

I can tell you like the rest of us, it happened to me too.

When I usually put the foot to the pedal hard or even casually in first gear into second, if feel as though the gear is going to "forcefully" drop into second. Yeah, like its spring loaded. You're fine...

When it first happened I thought first gear was going to go lol.

But it won't... hopefully.

Engine movement, Mine used to to it since I filled my front mount last week. Inexpensive mod, anyone with the know how should do it. Is even more useful if you have an old engine mount you can cut two little piece of rubber from. Stick it in the gumless part of the mount, then add Polyurethane. Let dry a whole sunny day and you are set

As others, mine has done that since day 1. BUT, since I went with solid motor mounts, shift linkage bushings, and shift base bushings, it doesn't happen anymore.

I know for a fact that the damper alone will not fix this. Seems like mounts is the way to go.

When I had my ralliart, this problem was solved by filling both front and rear mounts. Not saying you need both, I just happened to do them.

I also had brass bushings all the way around, and the short throw..

SO yes, the "problem" is pretty easy to fix...

mine had 3 months and 850 miles, and does that since I take it out of the dealer, always do that, you can wait a little more to pull the shiftknob out of 1st gear...
