Cylinder head Installed + a lot of Mods!!
HI there people thanks for all the support the cyl head and a lot of additional stuff was installed at the same time..... But first let me clarify some info for you guys
SMT-6 install:
I took the time to count the total of teeth in the crank
34 teeth , 3 missing , remember to use this in the SMT-6 global settings
ARP STUDS:
I did install them and used the 11mm kit for the EVO , here are the pics so you can see the ARP stud kit installed
OK so some other issues I want to clear;
If you are going to do the install BEWARE you are gonna need a special tool or bolt to release the timing belt tensioner, ( I didn't have that tool and ended up modifying my tensioner) but I am not gonna explain this here because I don't want people messing up their tensioner..
Gaskets needed :
Head Gasket , IM gasket
The best way to remove the CYL head is to remove it along with the IM attached , the wiring is SOO EASY TO REMOVE, there is the wiring to the alternator and the ignition system wiring.
Other thing : the thermostat housing MUST be removed prior in order to remove the head (trust me its easier this way)
I do not have the time to do a DIY but trust the manual in their procedures and you will be fine..
REMEMBER TO DO THE VALVE LASH when the head is OUTSIDE , its easier too..
The 4th picture shows the COOLANT LINE ELIMINATION FOR THE THROTTLE DO THIS AT YOUR OWN , IF YOU LIVE IN A COLD PLACE I DONT SUGGEST DOING THIS...
HERE ARE THE PICS!!!!

1st report of peformance
Ok so the review
First of all let me clarify that I had problems with the camshaft , apparently the guy that did mine grinded too much out of it. Anyway I am going to send it back to him and see how this turns out , thou the problem is that the MIVEC is not engaging and the rocker arm just doesn't let the piston in the intake rockers do its work...
Anyway I went back and installed the stock CAM and I gotta say this , OMG!!, its like driving another car....
the car launched from 1st gear its like it wants to RIP the tires off.. and then theres the throttle response .... you can literally launch the car from 2nd and it will still give you the hump!!!.....
all I have is : P&P cyl head with 3 angle valve job, Ported IM with EGR Delete, Injen Intake , Custom Header (measures I will keep them for myself) with 2.5 piping , 2.5 magnaflow resonator , CF muffler , RRM pulley, COllant Delete and no cam and no piggy yet...
I just find out my fuel filter is all full of stuff and I have to clean it or buy a new one....
NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT YET WITH THE EGR DELETE , I have the plate and the MODIFICATION DREW TOLD ME... however when cruising and letting the throttle off I can hear some small after explosions in the exhaust , nothing to be worried it actually sounds cool. The pyrometer does not show any egt increase while cruising soo whatever..
I will try this week to post some photobucket or youtube video .... and dyno it between this week and the next... I am not gonna estimate anything ... All I am gonna say is what are the victims I have taken already....
1- Corolla XRS I/H/E= Pulled 3 cars from him.......
2- Civic Si , mods unknown: Pulled 2 cars aprox. ...
REMEMBER I HAVE NOT YET MODIFIED FUEL AND I HAVE STOCK CAM.... NO NOS of course
COMING SOON ; piggy installed , dyno tune , light flywheel , clutch, 100HP progressive NOS SHOT
