4G69 vs. 4G63 - Which of the following, if any, does the 4G69 share with the 4G63?
#4
4G69 uses 4G63 rod and crank bearings (old news)
4G69 uses 4G64, 4G94 valve guides and seals
4G69 uses the EVO timing belt tensioner which is aluminum, not cast iron
4G69 intake valve = 34mm (4G63 EVO = 34mm) May fit?
4G69 exhaust valve = 30.55mm (4G63 EVO = 30.5mm) May fit?
4G69 uses 4G64, 4G94 valve spring retainers
4G69 uses 4G63, 4G64 head bolts (can use 4G63 ARP head studs )
4G69 uses 4G63, 4G64 main bolts (can use 4G63 ARP main studs )
4G69 uses 4G63 EVO balance shafts (can use 4G63 EVO BS eliminator kit )
4G69 uses 4G64, 4G94 valve guides and seals
4G69 uses the EVO timing belt tensioner which is aluminum, not cast iron
4G69 intake valve = 34mm (4G63 EVO = 34mm) May fit?
4G69 exhaust valve = 30.55mm (4G63 EVO = 30.5mm) May fit?

4G69 uses 4G63 EVO balance shafts (can use 4G63 EVO BS eliminator kit )
valve guides and seals = 4G64 and 4G94
intake and exhaust valves MIGHT fit...not exactly clear-cut
valve spring retainers = 4G64 and 4G94
so basically we know the valve guides, seals and spring retainers are the same as the 4G64 and 4G94...it's possible supertech or a company alike might make stronger components for the 4G64...i'll do a bit of digging.
as for the intake or exhaust valves, i'd want to have a stronger idea before I go and waste any money.

Lol sorry I didn't realize my answer had nothing to do with your question. I worked an extra long shift and was on the road for several hours prior to that. I had been thinking about making an exhaust manifold most of the day so I missed the valve part of your intake and exhaust question. Sorry about that!

He has to have a head gasket and arp studs? The head on this car is actually very good for a stocker.
I remember the car from NY at 14psi the head was lifting off the block and in comparison this car is not even close tot he 500 monster in PR.

From a 4g63 those parts won't fit. The only thing that is the same is the head diameter. I made a thread on club4g.org the has to do with why the 4g63 parts won't fit and also has input from myself and other members on parts from other vehicles that may actually fit. I'll bring it over to this forum.
