5 Speed to 6 Speed Change

Has anyone done a 5 speed to 6 speed gear change in a Ralliart? I've owned one for two years now and feel that if it had another gear it would take off.

Thanks for the help!

yes, sorry, I stand corrected. I'm not aware of one for a 4 cylinder...it WOULD need an adapter plate, and also may need to shim the flywheel a fair bit to maintain normal clutch release throw...

if you are going to go for a six speed CT9A Tranny then you will want to keep the ra final drive. you will need to take a lot of time and patience to match everything up. It can be done, but price wise it isn't very practice. The 4G63 from the Evo can bolt to the RA tranny and vice versa. do your homework on this one. I was well on my way to getting it done once upon a time, but the donor car was sold.

also you need to be sure you would be able to seal the axle, that would then be where the drive for the T-case comes out...

We're not talking Evo's here...the USDM 2004-2006 Lancer Ralliart is just a base FWD lancer but with a 4G69 engine, slightly upgraded suspension and brakes and some body trim...

It doesn't matter about the evo part the box will still fit it's still the se stud pattern and has the same shaft all u should have to do is upgrade ur gear shift from 5 to 6
