Hi, what do you mean by clutch pump ?
Resident product tester Cranswick had good things to say about the ACT Stage 1 and has since moved on to another ACT product.
Perhaps you can search for some of his posts about it.
RalliartN also changed his clutch in the spring, but I do not recall his choice.

Whatever you choose, be sure to adhere to any break in procedure.

oh, right...yeah I have a bunch of money now...I can pay you for it, unless you wanted to use it yourself...

for the OP, you'll be ok with a stage 1 clutch...ACT stage 1 (HDSS) is good for about 260ft-lb of torque...clutchmasters, spec, etc. will all have similar specs for an entry level performance clutch...

I am looking to replace my clutch soon. I have a ACT HDSS clutch ready to swap in. Would it be best to resurface the flywheel or replace the stock flywheel for this clucth upgrade?

112,000 miles, I've owned it since 80,000 miles. No previous history known on the clucth.

flywheel is up to you...but at a minimum, you will need to resurface if you're re-using your stock flywheel.

I figured I probably would, i was mostly just unsure if the stock flywheel was adequate with the clutch upgrade.

Thanks!

stock flywheel is more than adequate...what was your concern? a lighter flywheel will rev slightly faster.

I have an exedy kit going in my car this week, with a resurfaced flywheel. I've heard good things about them, ACT and clutchmasters for our cars.

yes..our disc is the same as 1g and 2g dsms, it's a very common clutch disc size for mitsu, and probably chrysler too...more than likely clutchmasters and ACT just buy and rebuild Exedy OEM pressure plates, if the disc is built like that from Exedy then it's probably for another car, and clutchmasters knows it fits ...Exedy just doesn't make a stronger performance pressure plates for our cars, last I checked, there is only one complete kit for our cars and it's OEM...I could be wrong...and I haven't looked at the catalogue in like 3 years, so I guess my information is pretty outdated...
