They can do something about the price. If they want a sale, they will bend over backwards with the right pressure.

When i bought my RA the sales manager said to me that he wanted his guy to get some commision. I told him i don't care if your salesman has to eat ramen noodles for a month, so before financing, i talked them down to 12,500ish. 17,000 out the door.

They make money off of the people that just take the first offer dropped on the table.

I won't have to worry about hassling with a dealership next time. I get a nice Corp Perk and pay 1% below dealer invoice.

Because bikes are like ATVs, snowmobiles, lawnmowers...etc. Their depreciation factor is much much steeper. They are much cheaper to begin with and there is no shortage of them. People need cars more then they need a bike or ATV. Harley has done a good job of actually creating a demand, shortage, and therefore bikes that actually hold value and may actually appreciate. But the Japanese crank out as many as possible. There's a saying about bikes:. "There's always somebody dying to get one and somebody dying to get rid of one."

Oh, please - do tell. What was your position there before you saw the light and left? What about your experience at one store gives you the right to call everyone in an industry a crook?

Exclamation

Before I wreck my ralliart (should be fix soon), it was nearing 60kmiles and I had it appraised for 12k at some assorted car dealership. I was gonna trade it in for 2005 Evo.

Didn't seem right to me, but who was I to complain at that point in time. I turn the offer down because they wanted $1000 down and I only wanted to put $500. Two week later I wreck my car,

Another thing is, while most dealership want you to take off parts, they wanted me to leave mine on,
