Evo momo steering wheel in lancer ralliart 2006
Hello community, I would like to share with you how I installed the Evo IX momo
steering wheel in my Lancer Ralliart 2006 .
I tried too much things to fit this great peace, the first problem was the clockspring, because is different, after I checked that the steering column was changed in 2006 models , and the best solution was get a
used steering column of a Lancer ES 2005(crashed), this one fits perfect on 2006 models, and in this way the Evo IX momo steering wheel was installed without
problems.
Pieces used:
1.- Evo IX momo steering wheel --- $188 in ebay
2.- clock spring -----$144 (http://www.mitsubishiparts.net/catalog/?section=301)
3.- Lancer ES steering column ----$60 in ebay (could be taken of lancer 2003-2005)
Now there is one in ebay but is for EVO IX I don't know if fits correctly:

I will add pictures.

Good work! I was bummed when I found out I couldn't put an Evo steering wheel on my '06 RA.
Here's another possible source for a used steering column:

I don't mean to go off topic or steal the thread here but I noticed at the bottom of this page: http://www.mitsubishiparts.net/catalog/?section=301
They list a glove box lock w/handle.
Does this fit our car? Because one of the things thats always bothered me is that I cant lock my glovebox when I park with expensive electronics in my car.

yea its pimp, i swapped mine before the summer its a far cry better than the oem RA wheel
why did u replace the clock spring? that sucks cuz its a waste of $150 cuz theres really no need to do that
the only thing you need to do is put the evo steering column shaft into the metal sleeve(peice with the tilt lever on it) that holds the ralliart one.
well thats all i did with mine when i swapped it in the the spring...
and FYI you can fit your cruise control switch into the evo wheel it just takes some clever personal installation
oh did you swap the air bag gas generator from your RA wheel into your evo wheel?
do this and your SRS "should" still function normally, being as the light won't come on... only thing you have to do is bore out the mounting holes on the the peice a touch.
but regardless welcome to the club of RA's with sexy steering wheels

I think that this adapter mod is for the 06, meaning that for the 04-05 it should be a straight forward mod, just take out the lancer steering wheel and put on the new one.
