Cruise Control light doesnt turn on
Just this morning I started my car up and while on the freeway commuting I pressed the cruise control button and the light didn't turn on, but cruise control itself engaged and functioned normally.
Is this a wiring issue and has it happened to anybody else?

If it was in the day time, are you sure you just couldn't see it. I'm not trying to say you're an idiot but on my way to the lake Monday morning I had cruise control and and in the daytime, I could just barely tell the light was on.

This happens to me also during day time.
I've seen LED burn out. Not specially on a car but elsewhere. Unless you moved your cluster and this disconnected a wire, I would think that it's the LED that burned out.

No it doesn't turn on at all, day or night. Consequently I believe right before I noticed the light go out I had smacked the top of the dashboard to try and get an annoying vibrating sound to stop, could i have knocked something loose?
What would be the process to find and diagnose the problem? Do I have to disassemble the instrument panel?

I know there is a cruise control fuse under the left knee inside the car but since your cruise control is working It might not be that. Most likely the bulb but wouldnt hurt to check your fuses.

I'm going to investigate these things after I finish my term of school next week, I've had no time at all to work on my car (problems have been building, mostly just the driver side door lock solenoid going out and the cruise control light going out).
I hate leaving issues unfixed! I have a feeling it might have just been knocked loose because it only stopped working after I slammed my hand down ontop of the dash trying to stop an increasingly annoying clicking sound.
