Question Ralliart Info???

Im a Army service member stationed overseas with a 2001 Focus currently. However, I've been reading some mags over here and Im interested in getting the new Lancer Ralliart now that it isn't so ugly. I was wondering if anyone knew any Dyno #'s. I read 162 BHP and 162 HP. Now I know one of those is to the wheels and one of them is flywheel horsepower.. Is the Ralliart putting 162 hp to the ground? I do AutoXing when Im not over in Iraq and Im looking for a competitive car to replace my modded out Focus! Please let me know something guys so I can join the ranks of Mitsubishi Owners. You all seem like a good bunch of people. Alot better than the Focus Site!

Those numbers are flywheel H.P. I've seen a post from a Turbo OZ owner that said the RA was a faster car stock. BTW, we ARE a good bunch of people!

BHP and HP are the same... they both means the power put out from the motor. not to the ground

Great.. yeah I wasn't sure about the HP thing.. Im a diesel mechanic in the army.. we worry more about torque. But Anyway one of the deciding factors is the HP to the wheels. Im left with a decision.. to make between three cars, the SVT Focus, the Mazda3 and of course the RalliArt (My favorite choice right now). I like the stiffer susupension on the Ralliart and the design but I want it to also perform in what will probably be run as G-Stock (SCCA AutoXing events.)

There's already a turbo out there for the Ralliart.

I wouldn't get the SVT Focus, since there discontinuing them and that will probably make spare parts more expensive and hard to find. So I would go with a Mazda3 or Ralliart, but after test driving, I would get a Mazda3, it seems to have so punch to it, and the styling is just awesome. You just have to trust me, the Mazda3 is not what you would expect a compact sedan for $17k, it’s so much better. So get the Mazda3...although I do like the Ralliart too.
