So I am getting around to lowering my car after 8 years of ownership. I found some used progress springs for cheap. I thought the progress springs were basically the same spring rate as the stock springs. If so I think I will just install the front springs as the progress rear springs have a tendency to raise the car up. What do you think? I wouldn't attempt this with teins or eibachs but do you think it will affect handling drastically?

I put only the front Tein springs on my car for a while. Then I switched the rear ones and saw no real change in ride height in the rear. It may only raise the car slightly then settle down to stock ride height after a bit. Give it a shot!

On another note. This cold weather is welcome to move along any time now. I would really like to get back out in the garage and working on my cars...

I am so sick of the cold weather as well. Finally hit about 45 yesterday and I had a chance to wash and wax my car. It should stay clean for about a day.

slc...tell me about it haha. From spring to fall, it's like i'm washing my RA every weekend, but when winter hits and it's constantly snowing here...there's no hope in keeping her clean lol.

I can't wash my car, because the water will freeze instantly and cause more problems than the salt I'm trying to wash off...

I've gotten about 5 to 7 inches here. This car can ice drift like no other. I was in the target parking lot and ripped the ebrake. Luckily my back tires have no tread on them what so ever. I just spun and spun. Unfortunately as soon as I let the ebrake down, the car snapped back straight almost immediately. Pretty schweettt!!!

Now I have salt from the roads all over my car.. Glad the underside of my car is rhino lined. :P

lol how was it cranswick said it a while back?

Half the speed, Twice the fun.

I dont mind the snow when I go out and play in it. But I hate having to drive in it to work. Like I'll look out the window, "Nope snow is too bad cant make it to work on time." Then I get dressed, "Lets go snow drifting!" LOL
