Hello i plan on doing a little skid plate for my oil pan because i wanna protect it cause ill drop the car even more this summer..

So is the oil pan made of metal so i could directly weld the skid plate on it or it is not made of metal?

Yea it should be perfectly fine to weld on. Are you doing this yourself or having it done somewhere? The Evo oil pans have a skid plate welded on to their oil pan. Not a very thick one, but its obviously there.

I'll probably do it myself, cut a piece of steel not very thick drill some holes in it so ill be able to weld the skid plate from there instead of welding only around it, just to be sure it will stay there
