Sportback rear bumper protection strip?

I want to protect the paint on the top of the bumper when working in the back. I haven't found a factory or aftermarket strip to match. Something like this:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Powerflow-5601-Bumper-Protector-Model-A-/331385470659?_trksid=p2054897.l4275
Any suggestions?

I havent seen anything like this for mitsubishis. I saw one on a WRX once. Have you thought about maybe having that portion of your bumper covered with Line-X/Rhinoliner or something similar? Or maybe for something less permanent, just a few thick layers of some sort of vinyl to build it up there. Just a thought.

Just checked at the dealership. Nothing. Thinking about masking it off and trying plastigrip.

could you not just get a sheet clear vinyl? I suppose you'd need a steady hand for a nice cut...
