Aftermarket battery tray

Hi guys
Just wondering has anyone used the after market battery tray from a evo? To put where the stock evo battery sits?

I assume you want to use a smaller-than-stock battery. I use a "JDM" battery tray for the small Odyssey PC680. The vendor said that tray was meant to be for Hondas but these things are pretty well universal; easily drill a mounting hole or two in the base as needed. Just get one you like and you can make it fit, not a big deal.

never tried with the stock intake or CAI, but the Evo tray will bolt up, it wouldn't fit with my setup because my turbo intake and upper IC pipe is routed there. I originally wanted to move the battery and run my intake behind the headlight like the Evo, but I would have had to redesign my turbo kit, and so I cut the tray in half and used it to mount my meth pump. an evo mini battery tray would probably fit...

I have a thread in the how tos.

I would suggest you to get a universal mini battery bracket. They have more pre-drilled holes in the base which facilitate installation.
I purchased a password jdm universal mini battery tray.
Its true you can get a specific model on from an evo or honda etc... But they have specificaly placed pre drilled holes.
In the end as long as its a mini battery tray a mini battery will fit.
But im telling you if you want a really easy mounting solution, get the password jdm mini battery tray.
Anyways look at my thread in the how to's.

P.S i love that mod
