I'm planning on getting 17 x 7 rims with tires of 205/40/17. Does anyone know if this size will cause any problems with rub as well as mess with my speedometer?

Whether or not a setup will rub is dependent on the offset of the wheels.

Sorry the offset is +45 on a 17 x 7 rim and the tire size is 215/40/17... That should work without problems right?

this might be a stupid question, but i cannot find a straight answer anywhere.
so, i want to get 03-06 evo wheels for my RA, and from what I understand, they should fit w/different size tires - is this true?

they are 17" x 8" and are 5 x 114 mm or 4.5" bolt pattern with I believe a +35 mm offset

looked through this thread and did not see anything

215/45/17 +45 offset

I'm wondering if this tire would be too fat, someone is selling some Rota Grid time Attacks 17 x 7.5 at a resonable price

Just a heads up for people...
As much as people say its not suggested.. I just had 225/40/16 goodyear Eagle F1 GSD3's installed on the stock 16x6 rims. It was a betch to install but it works and held up pretty well. I dont' suggest doing this with any other tire, the GSD3's have a very THICK sidewall so it'll hold the bead really well.

From what I hear a 225 tire is recommended only for a 7inch wide rim but later this summer I plan on running 17x6.5's with a 225/45/17 setup. I guess we'll see how well it comes out.

Found this

Figured it might help some of you guys..

I don't really understand the wheel sizing thing, so forgive my dumbness. Will any of these wheels fit and if so which would look best.
17x7.5, PCD 114.3 offset of either +40 or +45
18x7.5, PCD 114.3 offset of either +40 or +45

Thanks for your time.

I have been using the EBC redstuff on all 4 corners on my car for a month now, hoped the sqeeling would go away but it seems it is here to stay.
Stoping power is great on the other side

Thinking of going with new wheels in 15" size and 215 width tires, what is the height I should use to not screw up my speedo?

I'm truly confused of what is really the correct size wheel/tire combo that will fit a my Sportback Ralliart. 17" wheels/tires.
