Dunlop Direzza 101's are fairly thick tires... Do you think 8-10 mm spacers will work in the back? Or is that a little to much. My tire's a 215/50/16 on a 16x8 +38 offset. But if people say 5 mm is all I need, I'll get that instead. Does anyone know a place where I can get cheap spacers?

I mean, if you're stretching tires with a 205 on a 8" rim, I think a 5 mm spacer is all you need? I'm not sure but I'm trying to look for spacers. I'm not sure if I need a 10 mm or smaller.

i dont get how the tire stretching thing goes. the rim would be 8.25 wide.

I mean, a 205 will have a minor stretch on a 8" and with another 1/4 inch it's going to stretch even more. With my 215 on an 8" there's a very SLIGHT stretch but it looks nice in my opinion. A perfect size that would find on an 8" is a 225, but you'd have to roll your fenders and use huge spacers. So the best thing to do is go with a 215 tire and use 5-10 mm spacers. I guess that's what I'm going to do. I'm testing it out right now, my 215/50/16 tire on a 16x8 +38 offset can't even fit on the back without spacers. The front isn't so bad as the car is at stock height right now, but when I lower it I think I might need like a 3 mm spacer. I'm not sure if I need the spacers with the studs or the ones without it. That's what I'm trying to find out.

You can do that also, and roll your fenders. When I say doesn't fit, I mean, if I put on the wheel, the tire rubs on the strut thing? I don't know how to explain it, I'll take a picture sometime later on, but it covers the rear struts. My tire rubs against it and my rim would hit it.

No clue if that would fit, probably would be to big... but I'm not sure.

why would you need the hubcentric rings? I have this exact same setup on my car right now... no spacer in the front and 3mm in the back

EDIT:
btw... i prefer closed ends
