So I have some rims 17x8 +35 for the front, I'm planning on running those with a 215/40 tire the drop is like 1.5" (progress springs) I don't see any issues there. What do u think?

Now the fun part the rears are 17x9 +43 planning on same size tires 215/40. The drop os only .5" according to progress but it looks like its raised. I was thinking 15mm spacers to get it in a safe zone , would an extreme pull be needed at that offset? Maybe 10mm?

Checkout my thread for some pics , and I would really appreciate any help guys.

I'm confident I can get it all to fit nice . I even found a guy that rolls fenders so much and so good he's called THE FENDER ROLLING KING OF MIAMI. Lol. I really am just debating on the color of rims...

What's the stock width on the Ralliart's wheels?

I run 17x8 +38's (w/ 215/45 rubber) and the back definitely needed a roll on stock suspension. With the 215/40 you should be fine in the front, but you will probably wanna at least roll the fenders at the back. Maybe a pull all around, unless you dig the poke.

I have the OZ Rally and i'm trying to figure out if 17x8 +25mm is going to extend beyond the fenders on 225/45/17. I need at least the +25mm offset because my brakes on the front are oversized (Wilwood bbk).

My current setup is 205/50/16 on 16x7 +43mm, and if I compare the two using this tool (http://www.rimsntires.com/specspro.jsp seems to be the best one I've found), the results indicate:

205/50/16 16x7 ET 43:
backspace: 5.7"
section width: 7.7"
tire diameter: 24.2"

225/45/17 17x8 ET 25:
backspace: 5.5" <-- should be enough still for calipers
section width: 8.9" <-- this one im a bit worried about
tire diameter: 25" <-- i think im ok?

The comparison states the fender clearance will result in the larger wheels/tires sticking out 1.3" more than what I have, which if I look at my existing setup, seems they would definitely be over the fenders by at least 0.5", although when I look at a few people's setups on here, this doesn't entirely seem to be the case...??

Not sure if anyone has ever tried 225/45/17 but would appreciate the feedback!

truthfully i think you will be fine, depends more on the size of tire used. a 245/40/17 is probably best, safer would be lower profile...

what may happen though, if you find you need spacers, is those are going to stick out from the fenders

need good look tires with flares

My all appreciation and proud of all 2005 ralliart owners.
I need your help and opinion friends.
I own 2005 ralliart and I intend to put rare fender flares for some aggressive look and wide body.
But I am not sure of the proper tire I have to use!!
My current setup as following for both front and rare:
Wheels: 17"-7/ +40
Tires: 205/45 R17

Don't know if I need to put some spacers in the rare to get the tire out of the fenders or only some wider tires will be enough to get out of the fender just a mms?
I do not want to stretch tires or camber tires, I just need to make the look of the rare setup be more wide and aggressive to fit with the flares.
Waiting your awesome replies and ideas.

Do anybody really used this type of setup with no rubbing?
I really can't believe it.

If any had this experience, which to post some pics as I can't imagine how it will look like.
I am going to get wide and aggressive so I need to confirm this info.

225/45/17

i just put 17x7.5 +40s with 225/45/17 on my 06 RA.... and definetly lots of rub issues on larger bumps. i was surprised with not much rub from lock to lock on the front! from what i can see pulling and rolling the fenders is not going to fully cure everything because the front and back bumpers meet so high on the fenders .and being plastic they wont match the fender roll...
has anyone had sucess on pulling the thicker fender plastic?
thanks
