Gimme a picture of the one your talking about. I studied the trunk and the differences between the RA and evo pretty extensively when i was thinking about making the X brace. Plus i can do side by side comparisons with my buddies Evo.

the mounting points for the struts are in a completely different place between our cars and the evos. if you want a trunk brace of that magnitude you're looking at a custom one is my guess.

never seen that brace before...(then again never really looked...only glanced once before when bakuro was talking about looking into fitting a front brace on his RA)

the ones i've seen tho goe from strut to strut, then crosses either X'd or Z'd to the back of the trunk, and then has a flat bar across the floor(kinda like that one, but minus the peaks of it)
like this http://www.google.com/imgres?q=evo+t...r:24,s:0,i:159

or this http://www.google.com/imgres?q=evo+t...29&tx=97&ty=32

or i've also seen it where its only the flar bar across the trunk floor like that one(again....minus the peaks)
or like this http://www.google.com/imgres?q=evo+t...,r:7,s:0,i:102

or i found this one now too...wich is square...http://www.google.com/imgres?q=evo+t...4&tx=145&ty=95

or.......somebody *coughBAKUROcough*
can make any or all of THEESE work http://www.google.com/imgres?q=evo+t...32&tx=88&ty=68

Ive looked at that one before Zak. If memory serves there is not a single hole for any of the bolt that hold that brace in. you'd have to drill bold holes for every bolt you see holding that brace in. I also never seen a purpose in those support points in my mind only the horizontal bar would be of any real help, then maybe some kind of connection up to a strut bar.

EDIT:: Bottom line (without double checking by looking in my trunk) Im pretty positive you could make it work if you wanted to. You'd just have to drill all those holes.

Nekkid I actually looked at that complete set a while back. Id love to give it a shot but its an expensive kit for the whole thing. Ive actually been looking into fender braces next then I think Im going to go back to the trunk once more. The idea of the X brace is still bouncing around in the back of my mind.... lol Or maybe I'll just go Evo and just weld the big V in back there lol

Zak I looked again this weekend to double check for you. It looks like the top four bolts on that brace actually have a place they would fit but they'd need some pretty big washers on the back side, or some thick bolts, as the holes look a bit big. Its the bottom two bolts that you'd need to drill into your trunk for.

Nekkid lol your fine. That whole kit would be a great addition! lol I tried putting my H-Brace on this weekend and it is about 3/4 of an inch too wide I sheered off pieces on each side of the cups where the bolts for the front of the control arms go once I put it down and the pressure was applied. So Im thinking about having my brother make a custom one out of some stronger material and the right width. The Evo's control arms are just a hair wider than ours I guess.

well they are wider to accomodate for the AWD aren't they?
isn't that why you can't just do a cradle swap for a engine swap..?(along with other issues)
