Spyder Projector Headlights

Projector head lights
Thought id give an update
Installed them myself
Hardest part was taking apart the damn bumper... also the plugs didn't fit snug
the LED came prewired into parking lights.
The halo, I spliced into the LED so they all turn on with parking lights on.
Wanted to add that the halo's aren't that great. They are not CCFL and in the daytime anyone that is not 1m infront of your car will not even noticed that they are on. This is evident if you drive behind a car during the day you cannot even see the halo in your reflection, so they are not that bright like the BMWs...

Let me say that the LEDs are in fact a turnoff. I am going to attempt to remove the wire/cut it so I don't have to look at them. They are yellow/white in color (at least appear to be-4000k~ in temp). If they were whiter, like...5000k they would look perfect... also as others have mentioned in daylight they aren't bright one bit. Kind of defeats the purpose of DRL.
Just to mention. The leds are not prewired in to the parking light. They are wired to the DRL (green/white black/black wire). (Asked spyder for a wiring diagram :P)
---
I got the below from spyder.
I asked on other forums how they got the harness to stay and others have mentioned using zip ties or electric tape...
So... went to Sears and picked up some thin metal files.
I did option 1... just be very gentle. -- took about 20~ minutes... now my connections clip as they should.
Edit: - I didn't have to do any cutting, the green wire is prewired with a connector. I was able to unplug it and it disabled the LEDs. You can reconnect it whenever and they will work again.
---
Also, there IS a known issue with the pins themselves. It is the width of the spyder pins vs stock. On some of our headlights the pins are “too wide” compared to the stock headlight system and it is usually the reason why fitment is an issue. Check them out closely and look to see if there are any noticeable size differences. If they are wider you have two options:
1. File each pin down slightly for correct fitment – This is a bit risky however, damage the pin/break it due to DIY modification, you will void the warranty.
2. Return for a refund and wait until our manufacturer corrects this issue with the current headlight assemblies it affects, and get another at a later time.

these are the ones I bought after I hit a deer. These are very nice, the Halo's are CCFL but not as bright as a BMW of course but still look very cool. They are dual halos and I have not had a problem with them
