50mm Turbo Upgrade
So I'm planning on getting my stock RA Turbo turned into the 50mm upgrade by Turbos-R-Us.
If I plan to get to 350WHP by the end would I be fine with a used stock X Intercooler and piping ($150) or should I snag a deal ($500) on a used Ultimate Racing 4.5" Intercooler and piping. Of course the UR is better but how much of a difference would it apply to my RA with a 50mm upgraded Turbo. If it isn't significant I don't want to waste money

I would love an upgrade that I can get into the 300whp without messing with intake/exhaust systems too much.
But I keep hearing that our exhaust manifold isn't very strong and aftermarket replacements aren't available out there. So going this route isn't very worhty.
EVOX turbo is the way to go for most people.

I know the X and RA exhaust is different, but I think it's only the catback correct? I already have a Downpipe and Test pipe that I don't want to have to try and sell if I decide to go x setup instead. I guess what I'm asking is that if I do the x swap will I be able to use the DP and test pipe I already have?

Used X intercooler is fine, 4.5" is overkill if you ask me.

You'll want to upgrade your injectors. I'm waiting on the 50mm TD04 from Chris and I was told by tuner to upgrade to Id1000s as the new turbo will max out the stock injectors.
If you go the x swap route as long as the DP you have is for an X you can use it. Test pipe can still be Ralliart afaik. The turbo outlet of the Td05 is different than the TD04 so they have specific DPs.
X fmic is fine make sure to get the X licp. May want to get a better uicp than the stock X.
