Switching from 91 to 93 octane fuel

Switching from 91 to 93 octane fuel
I just going to ask how to do this safely. I have the 91 octane GST map and want to go to the 93 map. Whats the best way to do this?
Make sure my fuel tank is almost empty, then go fill up, tune the car in the gas station lot and off I go?
Any suggestions?

Yes, but you can also run 93 octane on the 91 oct map. So you could go fill up with 93, come home and then swap the map
or
You can also load 93 oct map & drive to the gas station as long as you don't go into boost during the trip there.

Run the car on 91 octane until the gas light goes on, fill it with 93 octane, and switch the maps.
Or if your really paranoid, run the car until the gas light goes on (while finishing your 91 octane gas), fill with 93 octane, run until that tank is dry (while still using the 91 octane tune), then fill with 93 again and switch to the 93 map.
Either way, just make sure you don't get on it during the first 93 fill up and you should be more than fine.
How much of a difference is there between the maps?

Thanks for the tips gents. The different, that's a good question. Once I finish my research on suspension Ill move to merlins guide on how to tune and then i can tell you the difference.
Maybe Richard can shed some light on the difference....if he wishes to please us.

The differences are pretty minor. Just 1 degree of timing advance at higher engine loads. Ignition timing table: under 100 load, exact same values. 120-300 (or whatever value the table ends) it's 1 degree advanced at all RPM.
These are only applicable to the high octane table, there are still plenty of built-in safeties in place to ensure you don't come anywhere close to doing your engine any harm. You could run 93 oct maps using 91 oct fuel for weeks and not do any harm to your engine*.
*best if you keep off boost, avoid WOT and high ambient temps.
