Question Cobb Accessport Map Question

Hey guys,

I've got a '13 RA, and I'd like to get a Cobb Accessport V3, and put the stage 2 map on it. According to Cobb's site, this should just require their 3-port BCS, with everything else stock, and run perfectly. However, the install instructions for the BCS say "You MUST properly tune for the installation of a 3-port EBCS. Using an off-the-shelf tune will result in overboosting! "

So, I'm confused. The maps on the Cobb site are off-the-shelf, right? But the BCS won't work with those maps? But those maps require the BCS?

Edit: Confusion lifted, Cobb support says it'll be fine

Why not just contact Cobb directly and ask them?

Just as a heads up when I was running the stage 2 map my accessport was very forewarning about having an upgraded catback system in place before using that map. I don't know how much of a difference it would make without one. Food for thought

does any of their maps get rid of the delay of when I step on the gas pedal until the car reacts? Still has got to be the most annoying thing for me

I do not have that problem on my RA (09) but I do not know if it is from my map or having an older model

I had that problem too, but ever since I flashed the GST Basemap the delay/lag decreased significantly.

I just did stage 1 (all I have installed is a K&N drop in replacment filter) and I have noticed a significant increase in throttle response. Very touchy, almost much peppier.
