Power gains

Hello,

I am going to be doing a tune shortly. I was wondering the power gains I will see after? My goal is 350hp at 25psi. I will be getting and installing all the parts in my signature before the tune. Also if you have any suggestion on if there is anything else I should get before the tune. I am looking to keep the stock turbo for now so please dont suggest that.

Thank you,
Jason

About 250-280 wheel horsepower depending on the type of dyno that you get tuned on. A Mustang Dyno will give readings on the lower end of that range.

To give you an idea, I had mine tuned on a Mustang dyno at CBRD (just like above poster) with the same mods as you, minus the downpipe, and got 252/285 wheel. You can expect ~260-270awhp with the downpipe.

It's amazing. Not even a hint of understeer now. Highly recommend!

Suh-weetttttt, I've been up in the air on what to do. What did the Diff bushings do for you? Help with drivetrain slop?

OP: to get close to your goal on the stock turbo frame - consider converting to E85

You are not going to hit your 350 number on a stock turbo. You would be better off getting a race gas tune, still running short of your planned numbers, and saving the money for the E85 fuel system upgrade for a turbo upgrade instead.

If you plan on running 350 whp, you probably want to start looking into upgrading internals also because there is practically a 400 hp limit on the stock rods and some other stuff.

So I found out that I have a cracked exhaust manifold, so I am upgrading to a Evo X turbo. What powers can I see with everything in my signature now.

Low-mid 300s id say. You'd need to run e85 to hit closer to 400

Update

Well I found out that I have a cracked exhaust manifold, so since I have to take apart the engine for that I figured I will upgrade what I can. I will be upgrading to an evo x turbo. What do you think my power gains will be with the parts in my signature now? Can I hit 400? Also I heard that the transmission will slip if it's higher than 400hp. Can anyone confirm that?

Thanks,
Jason

To get close to 400 you'd need to upgrade the turbo to at least a 20g and run bigger injectors and a fuel pump. You're more than likely going to be in the 300-350whp range. The CBRD intake will be sucking in lots of hot air from the engine just a heads up so not sure if you'd want to run it.

The trans isn't hp determined but more by torque. The safe torque range for the trans is up to about 350tq.

I went with the CBRD intake because I didn't want to relocate the battery. Also I requested to join that group.
