2011 Ralliart reliability

I'm interested in buying a used 2011 Ralliart with 60k miles but I'm a little worried in the reliability. I've heard some bad things about the SST and I'm wondering if the cars are capable of getting to about 150k+ miles. I currently have a V6 Camry and the transmission just went out, so I'm a little worried about that happening again.

As long as maintenance are done on time (such as change SST fluid, SST filter, oil change, and etc) it should be fine. I know of one Ralliart that is currently on 165,000 miles with no issues. Also, I know a bunch with 100,000k + miles with no issues.

Also, make sure if the car was tuned it was tuned properly.

Like with anything else, take care of it the best you can and it should take care of you. Mitsubishis overall are good cars imo, I still see a lot of gallants on the road still, eclipse's etc.. Then you add some good ol' fashion luck and yah, it could get ya 150k out of it.
I'd of course drive the car normal and spirited to see how it shifts and ask to see maintenance record on it or just google the VIN number(Car Fax also). Check engine bay, see if you notice anything that doesn't belong or maybe even asked if it was tuned or something(sometimes they will tell ya). Imo a tuned car isn't a deal breaker, but I'd be skeptical(reason I didn't trade for a EvoX when I had the chance). Good Luck if ya get it?

*If your really fortunate and have friend who knows Evo/RA have them tag along.

My concerns would be tranny as well (see above), but also the active center diff pump assy. For these two reasons - I would recommend buying any extended warranty offered.

Also, the exhaust manifold can crack.

Honestly I had the same concerns when I was buying my RA. The big thing is to not rush in and buy the first car you see. Look for one that was either serviced at the dealership, or where the person kept all of the receipts for doing thier own serving - and they did everything at or before the service interval.

I was eventually able to find one with under 30k and had all the service records (heck, it still had the new car smell)! 50k later I've yet to have a problem with it.

Hey guys, kind of in a similar situation as the OP. Looking at an '11 Sportback with 51k on the clock. Looked at the service records and theres no sign of a trans fluid change. Should I automatically nix this car and move on, or would I be okay to give it a chance and then immediately change the fluid/filter? Thanks!

Nothing can be said.
Is a lottery dude. Right now my car won't show any proof that the services were done because I'm doing it at home.

Maybe is the most reliable car you will own in your life but maybe is the worse.

Okay, anything to watch out for during the test drive? (Lurches, noises, etc.)

Slipping or erratic shifting.
If by any chance you know someone that owns a RA or Evo X MR take it with you.
