Gas gauge not reading properly?

This just started last week, I filled the tank and it showed I had 380km to empty, which seemed odd because that's fairly low, started driving it got up to 560km to e, I drove over the next 2 days about 250 km, and displayed there was about 1/4 a tank left, which seemed about right but I started driving on the highway and suddenly it went all the way back displaying a full tank of gas, and the km to e went up to 600 which just makes no sense, fearing running out of gas even though it said it was full, I put 20$ in and it remained at full, 600km to e. Now when I cold start it starts at about 130km to empty, and shows 1/4 tank which I assume is about right at this point, but in a matter of a minute it goes up to 320km and 3/4 a tank left, which I don't think would be accurate as I've driven another 100km on 20$ of gas. This has never happened before this week it's always been very accurate, would this be a sensor in the tank? Will it display a low gas light if I'm about to run out? I'll just keep filling it for now but this is a concern any other thoughts?

Read your owner's manual and it will explain the symbols/warnings that will come up on your display when the fuel level gets below a couple gallons left in the tank.

And, if you park facing uphill or downhill will really impact the reading.

Not a problem.
