I've ran similar setup x9 +34 on 235/40 and 225/40 you should be fine with either wheel choice. I would do the 225/40 for a slight stretch looked and since you're looking to slam

Hello, everyone. After being a long time lurker without an account, this is my very first post on this forum!

I am looking into getting a set of SSR GTV01 for my Sportback since they can come in a 18x7.5 43offset (I'm going for a OEM-ish flush). I'll also be using tires with the stock measurements.

From using the Rims n' Tires wheel comparer, the SSRs will poke out a very negligible amount compared to OEM. What I'm not sure about is if the SSRs are hub-centric. I couldn't find any info about it (or maybe I'm not looking hard enough, haha). Also, on the SSR site they have hub rings in different sizes (link to page here), but I'm not sure which size is right for this wheel and vehicle combo. Could you guys point me in the right direction?

This is a great thread but i have a question, i want to put some bigger tires for more traction this upcomming winter and i am eyeing some 245/45R17 (245/45R17 and 245/40R18 have a 1mm difference in diameter). but i am worried about rubbing and everything. Sadly you talked about 18x8 +40 and also 18x8 +45 but you didn't mention if the 245 on those would cause rubbing issues. I know 8 inch mags are a little on the small end for 245 but it is completely doable if i am correct. so you got any idea if this would cause any rubbing? I got a ralliart 2012 on stock suspension. I didn;t roll the fenders or anything

Stock Evo X wheels
18x8.5 +38 will = fronts will poke out about 1/4" and rears will be flushed
Inner Clearance: 11mm LESS Outer Face Position: 27mm MORE
Tires:
225/45 18 if lower to prevent rubbing and cutting of the wheel on the fender
235/40 18 and 245/40 18 will rub a little on the fenders with my calculation on bumps, dips, and pot holes and maybe driveways too
***This fitment is AGGRESSIVE so roll the fenders***

Can you explain again " 225/45 18 if lower to prevent rubbing and cutting of the wheel on the fender"? I have a stock suspension with mr. bbs, just choosing between 225/40r18 or 225/45r18. Will there be a rub on rear fenders?

My new daily, 2009 Lancer Ralliart

Bought this stock Ralliart few months ago, and just got rims and rear fenders rolled. Looking for suspension to lower a little bit, but it's a still my daily. Any suggestions?

18x9.5 + 40

I had a quick browse through the thread and couldn't see if anyone has run this fitment or not but can someone tell me if 18x9.4 + 40 will fit or what I'll need to do to make them fit, I've used the rimsntires website to check and that says they should fit but I just want to make sure before I buy anything

I ended up doing it myself so I'll reply to myself for everyone else's knowledge

Fronts fit fine with some wiggle room between the wheel and the suspension, no rubbing or scraping very aggressive poke too.
Rears hit the control arm so chucked a 3mm spacer or probably could be a 5mm spacer for a bit more room but there's no scraping or rubbing.
Very aggressive poke!
