The turbo is so hot, I doubt it makes a huge difference. Unless you're bagging the crap out of the car in the middle of winter, you'll be fine. When I say bagging the crap out of the car, I literally mean like WOT powerslide into the parking spot in which case you probably shouldn't turn the car off right away. If the most you did was give it some boost around one corner on the way home, it's fine.

I have a turbo timer on my car set to 20sec before shutoff

I usually shut my car off a few seconds after I put it in park.

are there coolant lines to the turbo? i know in my subies the coolant flowed for just a bit after the car shut off...even knowing that i let it cool down bit if i ran it hard
