You can search for the same information that the US site has by using

Mitsubishi Tech Info . EU

Use your VIN # and download the necessary files to flash you vehicle. Then use something to compare them to the files I have on my shared folder. They should be the same but I'm not 100% sure.

Now after google, the FQ440 is a nice upgrade. I do wonder if they have changed the TCU at all. The ECU was remapped.

I have been trying to get CanPASSThru to work with my Windows 7 computer forever. I literally giggled with joy after reading this and trying it out. I know that this is off-topic, but are the crank teach-in files (or whatever you have to do after rebuilding a motor) included with the program? I hate going to the stealership.

I am also interested in which files have the teach in ability, as the early model cars don't have the teach in file and its double the cost, to get a teach in. I have just sent my transmission to jacks transmission and when I get it back I would to do a teach.

Edit: I installed all the stuff and it works (haven't flashed a car yet as mine is down ) NOTE: I use a netbook for all my flashing needs and the PassThru window is to long for my screen and the bottom was cut off, so I couldn't use all buttons. I had to rotate the display 90 (portrait) and was able to access the rest.

I imagine if you have a full laptop this might not be an issue.

Cheers

Okay so I've been flashed for about 2 days now and I love it. No rev hunt at all so far.

Today I tried Launch control and went through something possible weird. I lauched a total of 2 times with a 5 minute break in between. The first time I did it, held the brake and floored the gas (TSC off of course) and the revs only climbed to 3k. I hadn't let off the gas early or anything. Actually If anything I probably held it too long because I was expecting it to hit 5 grand. regardless, I lauched and took off.

The second (after 5 mins) time I went through the same procedure and the revs climbed and held at 5 that time. (got a 0-60 of roughly 4.4 btw)

Any thoughts?

I tried doing it but i have a little issue at the PassThru CAN Flash stage. I open it and everything, it asks for the username and password for Mitsubishi Tech Info website but i used the registry key fix but was still not able to flash. Any ideas? did i do the regedit wrong? Am i meant to wait with that screen on for longer?

What version operating system are you running. There are different keys for different OS's. 32bit and 64bit.

It might be in a different directory. Search registry for CGDInstVer and make sure that the key isn't 0. If it is, just change it to ffffffff.

It's normally in
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ Wow6432Node\WCGD_NA

A big Thank You Vaqusis. I can see that a lot of effort has gone into getting to this point. How lucky are we RA owners - GST Base Maps and now SST reflashing.

Is this the place for feedback on the Beta How to Guide? I'll post it here anyway.

Maybe a note here that you need a PC with at least a 1024 x 768 screen. I first installed on an old netbook I use for flashing and logging. The program came up looking like the screen shots on P12 with the icon bar at the bottom out of sight and unreachable
Page 9
Maybe a note that you just do a conventional install for XP. Is it the same for Win7-32bit?
Page 15, Table 2, I think that this should read:
CY4A/CX4A (Ralliart)
2009 8631B002.cff = 8631A8600B
2010 8631B002.cff = 8631A8600B
Page 16 & 17.
It was not really clear to me whether you could have the Flash and the TeachIn files loaded at the same time.
All minor things I know but users can get come to a screaming halt on the smallest of issues.

So far I have only driven a couple of times on my daily commute. I have an 09 AUSDM RA running the 2010 GST Boost Pill Base Map V31.003, 8631B001.cff. SST 60,000km old after a full warranty replacement after 40,000 gentle kilometers. Transmission oil about 2,000k old. Things I have noticed already:
  1. [*]
One question. Has anyone tried 8631B151.cff or 8631A749.cff in an 09/10 RA?

I also get those 'symptoms'. Last night went for a drive, and I was waiting for it to shift to 6 but it didn't shift until about 70kmh normally it is about 60 when it shifts to 6. I am also getting the same amount of rev hunt as you but it's basically not noticeable. I have a 2013 Audm ralliart with custom tune.

Thanks vaquisis for your hard work and help with sst re flashing. We are all in your debt.

I've had S-Sport for a while.. well since it was available using MUTIII method and yes, those are they symptoms of S-sport flash. I don't mind being in 5th gear in 60km/h, but the rev hunt and LC at 5000rpm annoys me. Hope we'll have a fix soon

LC at 5000 is a problem? Isn't that what it's supposed to launch at? or do you mean that like me, you'd prefer to have it launch around 3000 :P?
