I did my front bumper as well about a month ago, but i like how you had it go straight down my goes in an angle which im going fixs soon.

I did not sand the factory paint at all. Just made sure the surface was as clean as I could get it.

Anyone with experience Plasti-Dipping parts in the engine bay? Wondering how it holds up.

Hmmm not sure. When PlastiDip gets warm, it gets softer and more pliable. What were you thinking of doing? I wouldn't be too concerned unless its on or near a high-temp part.

what did you do to get the edges. i just did it with painters tapes and the plastidip came off with the tape lol.

I'm thinking to do (EVO IX MR) the front Mitsubishi diamond emblem. Note: running a Full Race Prostock exhaust manifold, so probably a little hotter than stock cast iron.

Also, I was thinking to plasti-dip a aluminum GReddy catch can located about where the stock airbox would be.

Wondering if better to paint with high-temp paint or give the plasti-dip a try first.

Thanks for any inputs...

The emblem is perfectly fine and so should the catch can, as long as its not sitting too close to the hot pipe or manifold.
