When to Rotate Tires

Just came back from a HPDE and it occurred to me that I have no idea how long I've had the tires and that I've never rotated them.

What's expected rotation, every 5k? 10k?

it's fairly subjective as to when you should considering how you drive, how soft of a compound you're using, etc.... but 6k is pretty standard - for example on the oem yoko's i rotated them about every 2.5 kto 3k to keep them even, 3.5K-4K on the neovas, and about every 8k-10k on the bridgestone re96's all season - i swap between the different tires about twice a year

i do lots of spirited driving and hpde's, so i rotate once a week. the fronts always wear(in my case) slightly more then the rear, so rotating as often as i do keeps them even their whole life

If you are running HPDE, I'd recommend rotating them now. Track work will necessitate rotating more often so you don't get uneven wear.

Rotating after every track/autocross event is a good idea.

I rotate mine with every other oil change. Why not? It only takes a matter of minutes to do...

We recommend that tires be rotated every 3,000 to 5,000 miles even if they don't show signs of wear. Tire rotation can often be done with an oil change while the vehicle is off the ground.

^ x 2.

Rotated my RE-01Rs with every oil change (3,000 miles) and am approaching 50,000 miles on them with the wear bars just starting to show.

I'm heavy on the throttle so I never rotate mine, they wear the same.

I usually route the tires at every oil change. Couple shops around here do it for free, just have to make time for me to go and wait. lol
