Balance shaft gear delete spacer...

I ordered this part but am now in question as to whether to use it. I was cleaning everything the other day and began to think about the crank pickup plate. The original crank gear was rather large and made some support for the plate, however this thing is not nearly the same outside diameter.

I was wondering if you guys ever had any issues with the plate flexing at high rpms and causing any pickup issues or it hitting anything?

I think you are safe, we have been doing this little trick for over three years with no reported issues.

Bumping this back from the dead. STM website shows the part number for this spacer as MD128107. Was this same part used as a spacer for the Mitsubishi Mirage back in 1992? Hopefully it's much lighter than the crank balance shaft gear it replaces.

Just curious if youre familiar w/the tech piece written by Jacks Trans on the BS delete. Just recently, the topic caught my eye & have been trying to learn more about it.
