Puerto Rico AMS EVOs Featured in Turbo Magazine
This weekend the guys from Turbo Magazine were visiting Puerto Rico looking for cars for the magazine, they loved some of the projects and were very impressed on how popular AMS is down here and how huge the car & racing business is on the island, there are more fast cars per population than any other place they have visited before, also there are 3 NHRA quarter mile tracks and other smaller tracks in such a "small" island and we race all year long and the tracks are open almost 7 days a week.
Robert Choo, the editor of Turbo Magazine, his wife and one of the best photographers of Primedia were here looking at the cars and had a hard time choosing, at the end they went with a few of the AMS EVOs and other cars from different brands.
Robert Choo and a few others from Turbo Magazine will comeback in July for a big drag event we have on one of the local tracks, they will be seeing the PREDATOR Racing car and a few others they didnt had time to see this time. Also on that event Eric Gaudi and Chris Black from AMS will be attending and Chris is going to reflash some cars on Sporty Dyno.
This is the event on Puerto Rico:
I am helping with the organization of this event. We already have one of the match races announced, Georgie Performance STI(The former Big Valley STi from Gadiel Tuning and crew) who is running 9.5 constantly is going to run against a Toyota Supra that is doing 9.5 @ 143mph. There are some match races that are going to be announced in the next weeks between some Hondas and other brands running 9 seconds or less.
Other thing that everyone is waiting is the "Stock Turbo Appearance Challenge", there are a few stock turbo EVOs running anywhere from 11.3 to 11.6 with 20Gs or completely stock turbos, the Ruelas EVO that ran 11.3 with a 100% stock turbo will be representing AMS on that Challenge, together with a few other EVOs that are running tons of AMS parts with stock turbo. Some of them plan to run very low 11 second passes of even 10 seconds, already some of the shops are preparing cars with evogreens turbos to test them, and with cars already over 420-430whp with stock turbos and reflashes, this is going to be a big event.

This Prelude didnt wanted to stay on top of the rollers! It did 781whp!

These are the Sporty Dyno facilities were AMS is going to tune in July, they have 3 dynos, one for FWD and RWD, the second is an AWD and the third a small one for motorcicles and other ATVs.

This is Ruelas EVO that did 11.3, with over 400lbs of torque with a 100% stock turbo, this thing is amazing. You see the engine bay and it looks stock!
Thisis other white EVO that is going to give a few surprises on that Challenge!

What did the Prelude have for mods? just the major ones..
Do you know what intercooler the blue Evo with the carbon hood and C-West kit is running?
