Brand new car, problems starting
I just bought my 2015 automatic Lancer SE in February (almost three months ago) and it has been having some issues with starting. It happens about once a day that it doesn't start on the first try but always does on the second. I have taken it back to the dealer..they say its the gas I'm using and I have to take it to "top tier" gas stations (there is one within 20 miles my house and its going out of business..) or pump the gas before I start it.
I'm just wondering..are they telling me a bunch of crap?? I can't seem to grasp the fact that I will have to pump my gas pedal in my brand new car when I didn't even have to do that in the 2001 I traded in..

No need to "pump" the gas...car has EFI.
Definitely not normal to have to try 2x's to start a new model vehicle. Shoot...my 2000 Montero Sport w/ 170k starts on the 1st try everytime.
Like a doctor...try to take it to another Mitsu dealer if there is one locally. If not...take your concern to the service manager or even the dealership general manager. Worst case scenerio...contact MMCNA.
Totally not acceptable for a new car to start on the 2nd try.
Good luck.
