Wideband reading with AP

Trying to install an LC-2 in a car without the use of a serial to read, have it log via the ECU. Has anyone been able to find the correct settings that need to be made in ATR for it to read correctly? All I have been able to find is how to configure in evoscan.

that document is to read it through the serial usb port on your computer and combine it with your usb to AP cable.

I'm getting ready to do this too. I just ordered my LC2. Just waiting for it to arrive so I can do a permanent install.

If we program the analog output, can it feed into the rear o2 signal and show up in the AP3 without having the laptop connected?

I plan on tuning with the serial connection but would like to monitor it via the AP3 as I'm driving.

Yes, that's how I run my AEM Uego. Gotta tap the 0-5 volt from the wideband to the yellow wire on the rear o2 harness. Also need to ground the harness to the same place as the wideband. There's a writeup around here somewhere if you google.

I installed my LC-2 last night... works awesomely simple.

got my power and ground from the center console (Seat Heater Switched power Yellow wire, and ground Black wire.

Cut my stock o2 sensor cable off the factory O2 and ran the Yellow wire from the LC-2 to the Blue sensor wire and plugged it back in under the seat.

So all of my Wideband equipment/wiring is under the cup holder.

Does this mean if one gets the LC-2 unit they can have their AP3 until read A/F ratios accurately? No other hardware is required?

I have the AP and would love to just use that as my gauges.

yes, Thats what I did.

The LC-2 only needs power and ground from the car. Then it feeds the rear o2 signal with its analog output.

To datalog Air/Fuel ratio with your AP3, this is all you need
EVO X MR Touring seat heater switch................LC-2
Yellow Wire (switched 12Vdc) ----->................Red
Black Wire (Chassis ground) ------>................Black
Blue Wire (O2plug under passenger) <----.........Yellow (0-5Vdc analog Sig)
.................................................. ......................Brown wire not used

For added tuning, Live Tracing, and datalogging with your laptop, connect the serial cable to the "out" connector from the LC-2. For this you may need a Serial to USB cable.

Thanks for the info

What about real time gauges? Does the LC-2 allow the AP to view A/F live or only during datalogging?

Once you hook up the yellow wideband wire it the AP3 can display it full time as a gauge

Just select WB O2 as your gauge

so i hooked up my lc 2 , pretty much like the last poster did ,and my lc 2 gauge reads different than the ap guage ? i grounded it to the harness not a chassis ground . and arent we suppose to ground a wire in the rear 02 harness ? i assume its beacuse the ap3 has no specific calibration for the lc2 ...?

Did you calibrate it? Check the manual on how to calibrate it. And how much are you off?

You need to ground the harness AND the wideband to the same place on the chasssis.
