That was my friends car, I am the tuner, car was built by evo8luva. The car was running 11.2x's the day before for test and tune, but since we can't break 11.50 without a cage we had to dial it down. The first pass of the qualifiers the VSS was ****ing up the aem and the LC rpm was not correct and the car bogged like a motherfckr. The second pass was flawless 11.503 at 119, pretty much as fast as allowed in our bracket! When we were up at the line Rich and Will (host/s of pinks and pinks all out) were going crazy about the evo! we were THE ONLY import there and they loved it. Hopefully we make it on the show for the interview or one of the passes!

btw, at tech they almost didn't let me run because i didnt have a fire suit because i had an aftermarket turbo. hes like do these cars come with a turbo, i said yes. is that after market he said, i said yes why? well you need a fire suit then. i said ohh noo im sorry that turbo isnt aftermarket, i thought you said does it come from the factory with a turbo. and hes like ok youre good to go, lol nearly sh*t my pants
the event was fun but completly unorganized in every aspect, and dont even get me started on how pathetic it was for them to pick the 8.5 second class!!!
but i should be on tv, i had an interview with ken herring, really cool guy. i fumbled my words a little bit but at least i got my 5minutes of fame!! somone had to rep chicago with an EVO!!!!!

I went to the Pinks All Out in Indy last year in my RB26 300ZX. I couldnt find a happy medium with the launch, ended up going like 11.1 @ 133mph or something silly.
Afterwards, Ken Herring came up with the camera crew and asked a ton of questions about the car and until the show aired, I thought I might be on TV. lol......I didnt end up making the final cut however...
They really do get excited about the imports at Pinks All Out, its just unfortunate there are SO many more domestics that run consistent

There were LOTS of people *****ing about the 8.50 class, and I was one of them. Most of the people in the stand were like "those aren't street cars!". I was one of em. Still a fun weekend, but would have loved to see a few more imports represent. At least there were a few Buick GNs.

pinks all out was supposed to somewhat represent the drag racing scene, hence rich flagging. tell me the last time 1. that you have seen a drag race between two 8.5 second cars? and two anyone who would have the ***** two flag a race like that, lol. its just stupid that they picked a class of people that have a sh*t load of money already. and booztd 3 thats sweet you got the interview, but they didnt show it!!?? now i am worrying, i hope they show mine!
