Buschur Racing comes through with the help of M&H Racemaster!
Finally! FINALLY!! A company we can work with.
Everyone knows the drag radial market has come a long way. Cars running 6's on radial tires, insane!
For the EVO/Subaru/DSM/SRT-4's though the market has stunk. The tire sizes offered were not optimal and the tires weren't either.
I spoke with the owner of M&H a few months ago and asked it was possible for them to make a tire specifically for our market. A 245-45-17 tire. A nice fat, tall tire with a soft compound and SOFT sidewall. I explained to him the other companies offering drag radials were using a sidewall that was too stiff and they were breaking parts like it was their job.
The new drag radial uses a fiberglass/nylon mesh that is build specifically for racing. The use of the fiberglass/nylon mesh instead of steel makes the tire about 5 pounds lighter. Recommended starting pressure for these is 15 psi.
This new drag radial comes in at 25.8 pounds each.
Pricing is $236 each plus shipping.

Tom, owner of M&H said he saw no problem in making the tires and asked if there was something else he could do. I was shocked!! I asked about a 17" slick and he has done that too!
I have four of the new slicks here now also. This is a 26x8.5x17" slick, MADE FOR CARS AND FOR CAR FITMENT/WHEELS, will also be available through us sometime in mid March, right in time for race season! The slick weighs in at 20.7 pounds each.
These new slicks are a wrinkle wall construction. The tire design uses a stiffener in the construction that runs from the bead up into the sidewall and from there is a 2 ply sidewall/wrinkle wall design.

BTW, just want to add that the slicks that will be in mid-March, there will only be 40 tires available that production run. More will come later but the first run is 40 tires. 26"x8.5"x17".
Just got the heads up so I wanted to pass it along in case anyone really has to have a set in March. I know I'll need mine!
