STM trbotaxi new PB 9.30 @ 163 and going for the drag radial record!
It's been a great year so far for me with his car, got a new PB for me at the shootout of 9.5 @ 159. well last night at our local track up here in NY i crushed it by piloting the car to a 9.30 @ 163! ive been doing this on the stock enkei wheels with my 4 year old hoosier drag radials. i have 15's and slicks i can put on the car and probably go 8's with, but i would really like to beat that 9.05 record currently still held by AWD motorsports from YEARS ago.
my ultimate goal is to go 8's on a drag radial which would be amazing to do, but its going to be tough to get it there. i had one other awesome pass going last night with a LOW 1.5x 60' but at the top of 3rd my AEM shut off and the car fell on its face
either way im just super pumped to have this car running the way ive always wanted and with the times its going. the way im racing it on the track is the exact way i drive it on the street, full interior and all!
as always, HUGE props to my STM family for getting this car to the point where its at today.
as you can see i tried to short shift the 1-2, to help with the spinning out of the hole and caused the car to bog a bit, so theres def room to go with some better driving on my part!

Thanks fellas. Yes the car just got a dogbox right before the shootout, I was sick of going through transmissions and bit the bullet on one.
I have no idea what the car weighs with/without me. I would say it SHOULD be right around 3000 with me in it

forgot to update this, went last friday and gave it a go. only got one OK pass, but my AEM i think if officially done it keeps cutting out and did it on every pass that night. i think i might just put the slicks on and go 8's but im not sure what i want to do yet. i couldnt be happier with the car and never thought it would be going this deep into the 9's as it sits.
we put the car on the dyno frday afternoon and did a pull how it was, netted 760.. mind you this is the how the car went 9.30 @ 163, boost was down, timing was down. put 2 more lbs of boost in the car and put some timing back in it and made it back up to 810, however it wasnt a good night usually the car picks up 40+ mph in the back half..
i dont know if im going to give it another go this year or not at empire, if anything ill save it and give it everything its got at MIR
