Do you park your car in gear or neutral
#17
Once with my old Eclipse GSX, I forgot to put it into gear after work and apparently didn't pull the e-brake enough because it rolled out of my garage backwards, across the road and backed into my own mailbox...broke the spoiler and scuffed the rear bumper. DOH !

Always in neutral. If your car is in gear and it's bumped while your car is parked, the jolt can chip a gear tooth in the transmission. Also if your car is in gear on an incline/decline it will still roll if you forgot to put your e-brake or if the e-brake fails, though admittedly not as easy as in neutral. I always turn my tires on a incline/decline, that actually has saved me when my e-brake cable snapped on one of my previous cars.

But their should have been three choices but i can't change it. It should have been NEUTRAL BECAUSE OF TURBO TIMER? I been reading that a lot of these guys park in neutral because they have to with the turbo timer.

reverse is "park" for a stick. i've always parked my manuals with e-brake/in gear. as a mechanic, you always gotta make sure the clutch is pressed in then check for neutral. i got used to that seeing accidents like someone starting a car without pressing the clutch and coming off a rack.
