Have I ever told you guys how much I like threads like this? Threads that put a shafting to every BSer out there spreading rumors about how E85 will ruin your lines and destroy your fuel system?
This is great, the entire fuel pump assembly looks brand new, still. Thanks for the write up.

Just got tuned at CBRD for dual map, was gonna follow the procedure of running 93 once in awhile but seeing this thread relieves some of the fear I had going e85. Everything is mostly bolt ons with pte1000cc, fuel pump, 3port. I might just check every month how they are doing, if I don't see any corrosion I'll just run e85 most of the time except road trips. Man I love living close to e85 stations! I'll give an update when summer blend is available.

Its not BS some fuel lines dont take the ethanol well. I had braided stainless 6an fuel lines and they started leaking through the lines. The car had sat 6-8 months and the ethanol caused the rubber to give out (this was 93 oct probably 10%ethanol) . My new lines have a plastic type inner with the braided outer and are ethanol approved. Dont just buy any old fuel line even braided stainless will leak.

The use of aromatics in gasoline can be used to increase octane instead of using ethanol, but these aromatics can deteriorate your fuel lines. This deterioration is often blamed on ethanol.

I've been using at least 25% ethanol in my '91 Nissan 300zxtt since 2010, and E85 since Nov 2013. Absolutely no problems. I have another newer car that is recommended by the manufacturer to use premium. In that car I use E20 from a station that has blender pumps. I get plenty of octane, without the concerns about deterioration caused by aromatics.
