little bump:

Do you guys think that it's better to have the Ecu reflashed or do you think the AEM EMS, is better when getting into some serious power making? just wondering

AEM as of now will make more power. That might change once the roms are fully broken down and everything is understood 100%.

You are the MAN! Fantastic tutorial! I was just looking thru a bunch of threads trying to find a howto and I only came up with howto's dealing with the modification of roms. This is exactly what I was looking for.

Gonna order M1 right now from Jestr.

Thanks again.

I need to find the link, but someone has been keeping a library of fairly current definitions, that if you keep the rommetadata directory up to date with these definitions, it'll be unlikely that you'll have an undefined rom..

http://forums.openecu.org/viewtopic....cu+definitions

This is the thread for one of the most complete set of ECUFlash XML definitions for Mitsubishis..

Sending in the Log...

Now after sending in the log to jestrtuning@gmail.com, what all does he send back for the $52 dollars that we have to send with it?? I mean in other words, what all does it change for the Evo settings?? Because it does say M1 flash, but the M0 flash lists all those settings it changes while the M1 flash doesn't. Then the M2 flash looks wild out with all the settings it shows that changes(AWESOME)

A couple of things are missing from the Tutorial that I think should be added.

Make sure you set your user profile to developer by just going under "option" then user settings and change that to developer. Otherwise you won't be able to access your immobolizer code and when you upload the new map, it won't work (Ask me how I know!!!)

Copy the Immobolizer code from your STOCK map and attach it to your new map. Again I believe that this applies to people who don't pay for their maps but simply share them and so on, I am Sure Jester attaches it otherwise.

Also you may be weary of tuners LOCKING their maps so you won't be able to access them but their is software to deal with that as well.

I don't think sharing your M1 flash with others is fair to jestertuning. Come on people, quit being a bunch of cheap asses and just pay for your own flash. It's already one of the cheapest mods available.
