Did you 1.) Save the ROM to your computer? If not, you need to do that.
2.) When you saved the ROM to your computer, did you click File -> Open ROM?

Just got my stuff for ecuflash and evoscan but got a few issues.

ECUFLASH:
First of all, the cable I'm using is the old 1.3u (1 wire going to the white connector branching off to three pins) bought in either 06 or 07 by my roommate. As far as Ive been able to tell, I cant use this with the newer versions of ecuflash, and only have been able to get it to work with 1.29.

That would be fine except the file viewed from 1.29 has something crazy going on with the scale. Opening it in 1.42 views it just fine. My only idea is that 1.29 doesn't work quite right with 64-bit windows?

Do I have any options here or is my combination of cable and laptop just gonna cause me problems?

EVOSCAN
I bought and download EvoScan this morning. I'm guessing for Device Setup I need Mitsubishi MUTIII. This seems to work, but did disconnect twice while sitting in my driveway. Although I could have been connected with the car off, don't remember for sure.

The problem I'm having is checking DTC's. I'm not sure which DTC Method I need, but using OBDII Efi ends up giving me an error of "Arithmetic operation resulted in an overflow". Once that happens logging stops working as well, but restarting the program fixes that.

Also, right now I'm trying to get through emissions only being stopped by rear o2, catalyst, and rear o2 heater checks not passing. I turned that stuff back on in the flash but now I want to check that they've set before I go back. Is their a way to check these with evoscan?

Dallas, there is forced OBD2 pass that we can do. You'll need to add the xml listed in the thread of the same name. Make the changes as outlined and flash the car. From that point on its like LinkV2 it automatically does it no questions asked.....

Or come up to the shop and I'll do it for free since I was the last one to tune Jesse's car.

That's pretty much what I think Ill have to do, I just was hoping I could check myself to see if they're set before I take the time to go back to DEQ

Last time I touched your car this wasnt something that was available. The other option is if you didnt want to come to the shop email me the ROM and I can change it and send it back. I know the satisfaction of doing it yourself though so if you search for the forced pass thread it will let you know what to do.

Really its pretty easy stuff. Call me if you need to.

There is 2.3 seconds missing. Is it losing connection and re-init or something? Or you have been abducted by aliens while tuning...not sure.

Noob here needs your help. I have tactrix cable 2.0, last ecuflash Version 1.42.2595, evoscan 2.7 beta 5, Innovate LM-2 wideband, HKS EVC 5 boost control. So, i searched i think enough to find a way to log AFR from my LM-2 to evoscan but didnt figure out how. Also, i dont understand how to log boost from my EVC to evoscan. These are major problems to me to keep on tunning my EVO 8 AUS market ECU ID: 96530006. If you can please help me i would apreciate that.

Quick question about pulling an evo9 Rom.
I have an OP2 cable that i use all the time successfully with my 10. A local guy wants to get an e-tune and asked that i pull his current rom to be mailed out. I am assuming, but want to confirm that the read process for the 9 is the same as the 10s?

Yup. Just select the 9 when reading the ROM.
