How-to flash your ECU using ECUFLASH
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I created a short video for newbies wanting to learn how to flash their ECU with the new image that they have received from jestrtuning@gmail.com. I wasn't sure exactly how to do it myself and this video should make it clear to all on how to complete this task. Here's the link: click here
Helpful links: Purchase Jestrtuning M1 Flash , Download EcuFlash , Purchase Tactrix cable , Restrictor pill removal after new flash
FAQs about reflashing Evo IXs with the Jestrtuning M1
1. How much does the M1 flash cost?
$150 USD payable to jestrtuning@gmail.com via PayPal
2. My car is bone stock and I'm located in CA with 91 octane gas. How much added HP/TQ can I expect with this reflash?
Usually a minimum of 20 hp and 30 tq can be gained from a flash
3. Will removing the restrictor pill damage my engine?
No
4. Will there be uncontrollable spikes in boost as a result of removing the restrictor pill?
Any spikes can be compensated for in the boost maps. The current tune is setup for pill removal.
5. How do I remove the restrictor pill?
See this thread: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...boost+solenoid
6. Where do I get the cable to connect to my car's computer, the M1 flash, contact jestrtuning?
See Helpful links above.
7. How easy is this modification to do?
It's so easy even a caveman can do it!
Here's photos of where to connect the tactrix cable that I purchased from tactrix.com

Well, I'm thinking the word "feasible" isn't used correctly, but yes, you can flash your car like the instructions say and it is a good, reliable mod. The "experts" have not done this because they tune their own cars rather than purchase an e-flash from a vendor.
From what I've heard, Jestr is one of the best people to get an e-flash from because heis pretty good about helping to correct any issues that might arise from the tune.
