Definition file for EVO 8 JDM 2003
Hi
I have problem to open the Hex file for JDM EVO 8 2003 with ECU no: MN 132750.
The hex file downloaded succesfully with Ecuflash v1.33 and got a pop up menu with 3 option & I chose the last one & than selected the Evo 8 JDM rom file.
I could open the file but the timing table were all over the place or mess up.
It uses Internal ID: 93660005 base on ROM Info data.
I think I need different Definition file for this ECU.
Can somebody help me with this problem?
Thank you for your attention & help
Regards
Setiawan

Its just a definition file for the particular ROM ID. Whichever meets your purpose is fine.
Copy/paste Barry's XML file to the rommetadata->mitsubishi->evo folder in ecuflash. Then reopen ECUflash and your rom. You will be able to see the different fields defined properly.
For further info, there are several tutorials available in this forum.

So all I have to do to get 2 byte load working in my car is to put 8960 and 8961 at MUT00 and MUT01 in the MUT table? ie. put them at the first 2 cells in the first row?
Does anyone have the 2 byte RPM as well? and I would just put these at MUT02 and MUT03?
I also notice that you have Tephra mod defined. I would assume these would not work as the ROM that I am using is straight from my car? And I would be safe to reflash this ROM (edited with 2 byte addresses) back to my car as long as I don't touch anything in the Tephra category?
Thanks!
